Welcome to the Wells family! You’re about to join a vibrant campus community and more than 9,200 proud alumni who have made Wells their home and a launchpad for future success.

Now that you’ve sent your deposit, we encourage you to finalize your financial aid as soon as possible and review these next steps. 

There’s no need to stress. We’re here to make it easy. Please reach out to the Office of Admission with any questions!

NEXT STEP

Finalize your financial aid

After you receive your letter of admission, you will also get your personalized financial aid offer in the mail.

This mailing spells out all the scholarships, awards, grants, and other funding you are eligible for. Review and sign this letter to accept your financial aid, then upload the signed Award Letter as a scanned document or clearly-lit photo through your portal (under the “Upload Materials” section). You can also send it to the Admissions Office by mail, or email a photo to us. Remember to keep a copy for your records

Now that you know you’re in, we bet you’ve got new questions and curiosities about student and academic life at Wells.

Admitted Student Days will be held on Saturday, April 6 and Saturday, April 20. Watch your mailbox for more details. Registration opens soon!

NEXT STEP

Save the date for Summer Orientation!

All admitted students are required to attend one of two overnight orientation programs on July 12 & 13 or July 26 & 27.

During orientation, you’ll learn your way around campus, make new friends, and complete other tasks, including placement testing and academic advising. Fun activities are planned for families, too!

To cover the cost of your meals, housing, and other activities, there will be an additional program fee of $200.

NEXT STEP

Activate your Globe ID

We begin sending instructions and log-in credentials for The Globe to incoming students in mid-May.

The Globe is our current student portal where you will receive campus announcements and take other important steps, including registering for classes, setting up your Wells email, reviewing your housing assignment and paying your tuition bill. 

The Globe is different from your admission portal. Watch your email for your personal ID number to log in and activate your account.

NEXT STEP (Mid-June)

Register for Classes

Once you’ve logged on to the Globe and activated your new Wells account, you’ll be ready to design your class schedule with the help of your academic adviser. Read through the College Catalog to find courses that fit your academic goals.

Watch your email for an invitation to your pre-advising appointment in early June. 

NEXT STEP (Mid-June)

Choose Your Housing

Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the date you submitted your deposit. 

You’ll find a Housing Preference Form and your Roommate Questionnaire in your admission portal. Housing and roommate assignments are posted to the Globe when this process begins in early June.

If you have concerns once you receive your assignment, don’t panic! Plenty of things shift around during the summer and requests for housing changes are typically granted before move-in day.

Eligible students may also request a housing exemption and/or special accommodations. See your portal for more details and a separate form.

Complete Final Paperwork

Be sure to refer to your checklist in your admission portal often to see what paperwork or forms we need or may still need to be finalized. In addition to the steps above you must also complete and submit the following forms online or upload these PDFs to your portal:

  • Important Contact Information Form
  • FERPA Release Form
  • Proof of Health Insurance – students who are US citizens or permanent residents must upload a copy of the front and back of their health insurance card.

We also need you to submit the separate Health Report below.
